Axios Books
Privacy Policy
Last updated May 10, 2026
We're a small Orthodox Christian publisher. We collect what we need to keep in touch and to send you a book, we rely on a few well-known services to process payments and email, and we don't sell or share your information with anyone else.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you ask to receive updates from us.
- Your payment information, if you donate. Card details go straight to Stripe — they never touch our servers. Stripe passes back your name, your email, and the amount.
- Your shipping address, if your donation includes a copy of the book. Like card data, this is collected by Stripe's hosted checkout and passed back to us so we can put a book in the mail.
- Standard web server logs — your IP address, the page you requested, your browser — kept briefly for security and debugging, then rotated out.
What we don't collect
We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracker. We don't set advertising cookies. We don't share your data with anyone outside the service providers below.
Who we work with
Running a publishing operation means leaning on a few services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Stripe processes donations and collects shipping addresses when a book is included.
- Resend delivers our email.
- A virtual private server we control holds the database that stores your email and donation history.
We don't use these services to share data with anyone else — only to do the work described here.
How long we keep things
- Email subscribers — until you unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us directly.
- Donation records — at least seven years, to comply with US financial recordkeeping. After that we may keep anonymized records (amounts, dates) for our own historical accounting.
Your rights
Email us at hello@axiosbooks.com to:
- Unsubscribe from emails (or just use the link in any email)
- Ask us what data we hold about you
- Ask us to delete that data
We aim to respond within 30 days. Because we don't run ads or share data, there isn't much to dig out — usually just your email, your donation history, and your shipping address if you've given us one.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data in any meaningful way, we'll update this page and email the list to let you know.
